Poppies
2 - 3 year olds
The Poppies have a large room with direct access to an outdoor play area this is for children aged 2 to 3 years, with a staff ratio of 1 to 4 children.
In poppies the children will have the chance to make independent choice of how and where they would like to play. Children will have the opportunity to play along side others, form friendships and learn to communicate.

The poppies have a wide range of resources to use. In the home area they will cook dress up and go shopping replicating what they see at home. In the book area they look at books, use puppets and listen to music. The children can mark make, play in the sand or water and build choosing resources to enhance their play. The children will have exciting activities planned from their interests which will then be observed and recorded using photographs, parents will be shown the file regularly and given the file at the end of their stay.
